What does a meal cost?
Eight dollars if you pre-order before the monthly deadline, and ten dollars after it. That covers the main dish and everything served alongside it. A double portion is two dollars more either way, and milk and juice boxes are two dollars each.
When do I need to order by?
The pre-order deadline for each month is shown at the top of the ordering page. Order by then and every meal is eight dollars.
Ordering stays open after that at ten dollars a meal, up until two days before each meal is served. Once a meal is inside that two-day window it disappears from the calendar and cannot be added.
Why does waiting cost more?
Pre-orders tell us what to buy. A late order means a second shopping trip and a smaller, less predictable prep run, and the price reflects that. Nothing about the food changes, and a late order is served exactly like an early one.
I ordered early. Does a later addition change my first price?
No. Each meal is priced when you order it. Meals bought before the deadline stay at eight dollars whatever you add afterwards.
My child has a food allergy.
Enter it when you add your student and it prints on our kitchen list beside every meal they ordered. Common allergens are labelled on each menu item.
The trailer is a single small kitchen that handles wheat, dairy, soy and egg in a shared space. We cannot guarantee any meal is free of cross contact, and we would rather say so than reassure you and be wrong. If the allergy is severe, email before you order and we will give you a straight answer about whether we can serve your child safely.
Can I order for more than one child?
Yes. Add each student, then switch between them as you pick days. The receipt separates the order by child.
Some meals have two versions. How does that work?
On pizza and sandwich days you choose the version when you add the meal. Both cost the same. Your choice goes on the kitchen list, so your student gets what you picked.
What happens if my child is absent?
Email before school starts that morning and we credit the meal toward your next order. Once the trailer is loaded the food is already made.
Can I get a refund?
In full, any time before the pre-order deadline. After that the ingredients are bought, so we issue a credit toward your next order instead.
Where does the trailer park, and how does my child get their food?
We set up in the lot by the parish hall and cook on site. Orders then go out grade by grade, each one labelled with your child's name, so nobody has to work out what they ordered or wait in a line for long.
What if my student forgets they ordered?
It does not matter. Every order is labelled with a name and goes out with that child's grade, so there is nothing for your student to remember. If a meal goes unclaimed we hold it through the lunch period and check with the office.
Is this run by the school?
No. Lunch Bus is a family business serving on campus. The school does not process payments or refunds, so bring any question about an order to us.
Do you serve every week of the month?
We serve the dates listed on the menu and nothing else. Holidays, half days and school breaks are already excluded, so what you see on the calendar is what we run.
