Packing a lunch every morning is one more thing in a week that is already full. Lunch Bus takes two of those mornings off your hands.
How we cook
How the food is prepared
We pull onto campus before lunch and cook in the trailer, so meals go out within minutes of coming off the heat. Nothing is made the day before and reheated.
Pricing
Pre-order before the monthly deadline and every meal is eight dollars. Order after it and a meal is ten, which covers a second shopping trip and a smaller prep run. There is no membership, no minimum, and no charge for leaving something off a plate.
What is in a meal
Every meal is built around something a child will recognise, with a vegetable and fresh fruit alongside it. Portions suit a younger student, and an extra portion is available for older ones.
Allergens
All allergies must be listed at the time of ordering, in the allergy field when you add your student. Each meal is also labelled with the allergens it contains. The trailer is a shared kitchen that handles wheat, dairy, soy and egg, so we do not claim any meal is free of cross contact. If your child has a severe allergy, email us before you order and we will tell you which meals we are able to serve safely.
Orders and absences
Because we buy against the orders we hold, we are not able to offer refunds or credits. If your student is away, the meal is still yours: collect it from the front office, send someone for it, or tell us and we will pass it to a student or teacher.
Our part in the school
Lunch Bus operates with the knowledge of the school office and serves on campus during the regular lunch period. It is a family business rather than a school program, so the school does not handle payment or refunds. Anything about an order comes to us directly.
